“By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” —John 13:35
Jesus’ love is not a feeling—it’s a way of life. It moves toward need, forgives deeply, and gives generously. At JCC Rongai, we practice love in three everyday ways.
1) Compassion that crosses the street
Like the Good Samaritan (Luke 10), love notices and moves. Carry an extra meal, share transport, or send that encouraging text. Small acts preach loud.
2) Courage to forgive
Love chooses forgiveness over offense (Ephesians 4:32). It’s not easy—but it’s freeing. Pray for the person who hurt you. Ask God for the courage to reconcile where possible.
3) Generosity that opens doors
Love gives: time, kindness, resources (2 Corinthians 9:7). Consider a monthly gift to support outreach, youth, and care ministries. Your generosity becomes someone’s answered prayer.
This week’s challenge
Pick one person to bless. Ask, “How can I pray for you?” Then follow through.
“Love never fails.” —1 Corinthians 13:8
