When faith feels small, God remains faithful. Jesus said, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed…” (Matthew 17:20). At JCC Rongai, we’ve learned that valleys grow roots. Here are three ways to let God grow your faith—right where you are.
1) Pray honest prayers
The father in Mark 9:24 cried, “I believe; help my unbelief!” God meets us in honesty, not performance. Start with what you have: a whispered prayer, a simple “Lord, help.” He hears.
2) Feed your faith with Scripture
Faith comes by hearing (Romans 10:17). Choose one passage for the week—James 1:2–4 or Psalm 23—and read it morning and night. Write one sentence of what God is showing you.
3) Walk with community
We don’t grow alone. Join a small group, serve, or ask someone to pray with you after service. In Act 2:42–47, the early church grew through teaching, fellowship, and prayer—together.
Faith practices for this week
One honest prayer daily
One Scripture repeated aloud
One conversation with a believer about what God is doing
“The Lord is my shepherd… He restores my soul.” —Psalm 23
A word of hope
Your valley is not the end—it’s the soil. God is cultivating endurance, wisdom, and joy in you. Keep walking; the Good Shepherd is close.
