The Pursuit of Faith

– Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed. (John 20:29)

– Life by itself is lived through faith.

– God has created us to have some believe

– The irony in life is that we are unable to practice faith in God.

–  Faith is a journey. It needs to be practiced. (Isaiah 26:3)

Why is faith in God a Journey?

1. Faith in God has no plan Bs. You have to exclusively believe in God.

– Faith is worth dying for. (Hebrews 11:13)

– It is better to die having believed in God than to die not having faith. (Hebrews 11:35-39)

2. Faith must have the eyes to see afar off. (Hebrews 11:13)

– The eyes of faith see the future.

– Never see yourself Yesterday.

–  The brothers of Joseph never saw him in his tomorrow they saw him in his today. (Genesis 37:19).

– Seeing afar off also means faith sees the best and not the worst in people.

3. Faith is embraced

–  We embrace faith by allowing the faith of God to be part of our lives and thought process.

–  Faith actions are irrational and illogical. (Daniel 1:12-13 & Luke 17:14)

– If we don’t embrace faith we’ll overthink it.
